|
| Lazise is a pleasant town on the eastern shore of Gardasee, the center is of particular interest for its city plan and monuments. Archaelogical digs have shown that the early settlements go back to the Bronze Age. The Romans callede it Lasitium, but it was not until the Middle Ages that lazise acquired privileges, first under Otto II and then in the 12th century, when it benefited from statutes of autonomy, and was the first free Comune with a vast territory. |
